Disaster Preparedness

New Zealanders are encouraged to be able to be self-sufficient for several days following a natural disaster, such as  flooding, cyclones or earthquakes. Recommendations for larger disasters such as the Alpine Fault recommend self-sufficiency for 10-14 days. Our medication kits provide an additional level of support if you find yourself isolated during a natural (or manmade) disaster with reduced or difficult access to health care.
